TYG Descriptions

KatanTY K1 provides a preview to our youth groups for students in Kindergarten and 1st grade. KATANTY K1 provides our youngest youth group participants with great social activities designed to get Jewish kids together outside of the classroom.

KatanTY 23 is a first taste of youth group for students in 2nd and 3rd grades. KATANTY 23 provides our youngest youth group participants with great social activities designed to get Jewish kids together outside of the classroom.

KatanTY 45 is an opportunity for FUN for 4th and 5th graders! Come check out our movie night, Chanukah party, mystery field trips and much more. We meet a number of times throughout the year and always have a great time.

LIBERTY 67 is Temple Beth El's group for our 6th and 7th graders. LIBERTY 67 has great social programs, an all-night lock-in and a social action event as well. As our next generation of youth leaders, LIBERTY 67 members also have the opportunity to go to Hatikvah Kallah, a regional event attended by Reform Jewish 7th and 8th graders from around the region.

LIBERTY (Life In Beth El Reform Temple Youth) is our flagship youth group for teens in 8th - 12th grades.  LIBERTY  is a student-led group that meets on a regular basis for programs that are fun, creative, and worthwhile. LIBERTYites also travel to regional conventions throughout the year to spend time with Jewish teens from around the southeast. Imagine a Hanukkah party like no other. Imagine rock climbing with your friends. Imagine havdallah with everyone's voices lifted high, just as the sun goes down. Imagine creating your own meaningful Shabbat service. Imagine volunteering and making the world a better place. Imagine LIBERTY.

HaKesher: The College Connection at Temple Beth El
is a bridge between our hometown Jewish community and our college students who are growing and learning all over the world. HaKesher is sponsored by the Youth Committee, helps students stay in touch with TBE and with the Jewish community once they are out on their own.

SUPPORT TBE YOUTH

Help support TBE Youth!
Temple Beth El provides some awesome opportunities to HELP!!!!:

  • Support TBE Youth by making donations to our Youth Funds and Scholarships to make camp, conventions, and special opportunities more affordable.  Help us send our fabulous youth to awesome camps and amazing regional conventions!
  • Purchase some of our amazing LIBERTY t-shirts or TBE water bottles.  We have other LIBERTY gear available!
  • Buy some of our beautiful Jewish Art Cards designed solely by our Temple Beth El Youth artists!  All proceeds benefit Temple Beth El Youth Programs.  We will have other various TBE Youth Fundraisers throughout the year - if you have any connections or ideas, please contact Andy Harkavy.
  • Grab a bagel and a schmear!  Every Sunday that Religious School is in session, our Youth Committee will be selling bagels and cream cheese ($2.00) and juice boxes ($.50)!  This makes a perfect pre- or post- Religious School snack! The bagel bar will be open from 10:15am-11am…between sessions!  Come get yours this Sunday!
