An archaeologist risks her professional reputation to begin a dig under an Arab couple's home in Israel. Her discovery of the bones of the prophet Jeremiah locked in an eternal embrace with a mysterious woman and the scrolls entombed with them create havoc for Israel, the Arab family and the archeologist's own love life. Join us as Rabbi Schindler gives us background on the prophet Jeremiah and leads our discussion. Brown bag lunch optional. Home in the Morning by Mary Glickman: April 18, 7 pm. Dissecting race and prejudice, as well as love and loyalty for a Jewish family in the Old South, this novel confronts the 1960s through the eyes of a man trying to balance the secrets and propriety of his family with his struggle as a lawyer in a new age.
