A STAR-CRUISE THROUGH THE GENERATIONS OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE AND AN EXPLORATION OF WHERE WE'RE GOING.
WILDACRES RETREAT 2010 STARDATE: SEPTEMBER 3-6, 2010 LABOR DAY WEEKEND
At Temple Beth El, we like to get outdoors! Each year, we escape to the mountains, where we eat, drink, learn, pray and eat some more! At this year's retreat, we will explore the accomplishments, sins and Jewish identities of different generations, and ask how Judaism speaks to us differently in each age. There is plenty of time for relaxation, family, the traditional wine-and-cheese receptions and exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Non-members are welcome. For more information, please contact Temple Beth El at 704-366-1948 or email Rabbi Streiffer.

Register here for this year's retreat or download this form and return to Temple Beth El. (If you register online, please click here to email us the names and ages of your participants and any special needs.)

What Should I Pack? Wildacres is located about 112 miles from Charlotte, near Little Switzerland in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is not a dress-up place. Bring casual clothes, including a jacket or sweater, comfortable shoes, a raincoat and umbrella. Sleeping accommodations have private baths and either twin beds or one double and one twin. Linens are provided, but you may wish to bring extra towels. Please let us know if you will need special accommodations.
The Story of Wildacres Wildacres was dedicated by I.D. and Madolyn Blumenthal to the betterment of human relations and interfaith dialogue. It is a tradition at Temple Beth El to gather as a family, young and old, singles and families, friends we’ve known forever and friends we haven’t yet met. We participate in exciting and meaningful programs, learn together, eat together in the communal dining hall, pray together during Shabbat and play together exploring the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. As always, there will be ample time for simple relaxation, a good laugh and time to enjoy the fresh air.
