This service is for and by you, the members of our Temple family. This month, the D’var Torah will be presented by Sara Schreibman. Torah will be read by Debra Ferry, Jonathan Howard, and Nick Montoni. The haftarah will be chanted by Cantor Bernard’s Haftarah Trope Class. We will invite for separate aliyot the graduating Farber Leadership class and our outgoing Beth El Board Members.

There are lots of opportunities for participation; if you want an honor in the service just let the clergy know

If your child is age 5 or younger, please join us at the Temple on the second Saturday of each month at 9:15 am for a special service.

Nursery for young children. The children observe their own special Shabbat service before joining the congregation for the Kiddush in the Sanctuary. We invite all children from infancy to age 6 to join us in the Nursery.

Tot Shabbat is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the Shabbat experience and to meet other families with young children.

All services will begin at 9:15 AM promptly.

Saturday early morning Babysitting!
Babysitting for children 6 and under will be available on Saturday mornings for children of participants in our Torah Study or FIJI classes beginning in October.

If you attend the FIJI class or Torah Study at 9:30 and would like childcare, please contact Stephanie DiPaolo at sdipaolo@beth-el.com or call 704-749-3051. There will be a nominal charge of $5 per family. (Babysitting will not be available during the 11 am Shabbat Service.)

Healing: It’s not just for sick people
Service of Healing & Comfort

Our tradition teaches that there are many types of healing: r’fuat hanefesh u-r’fuat haguf - healing of the spirit and healing of the body.

On the last Friday of each month, the Caring Committee sponsors a Service of Healing and Comfort at 7:15 pm in the Chapel. This 30 minute service of prayer and meditation is truly a sanctuary for our hectic lives. We pray for the healing of our world, our community and our relationships, as well as traditional prayers for the healing of those who are ill. It is also a time where the broken spirit can find a time of quiet and wholeness.

Whether you are praying for the healing of others or seek a time of shalom for yourself, you are welcome to join in this beautiful service as a prelude to our Shabbat evening worship.
