Religious School Madrichim

The 2011-2012 Madrichim Application is HERE!

Upon graduating from the Sheva program, our students are encouraged to return as Madrichim (teacher’s aids). They are vital to the success of our school as aids to our faculty and as role models for younger students.

"Madrich" (masculine) or "madricha" (feminine) are the Hebrew terms meaning guide or leader. Temple Beth El Religious School has a very successful Madrichim program where our teenagers not only serve as role models and guides to our younger students, but we in turn guide them in developing their teaching and leadership skills while strengthening their Jewish identity.

There are opportunities during Sunday Religious School in classrooms, the office, babysitting, the concession stand, Hebrew tutoring, and specialty classes such as music and art.  There are a limited number of opportunities for very responsible, motivated madrichim to work during Hebrew School on Mondays and Wednesdays in the office or in Hebrew school tutoring.

REQUIREMENTS
All Madrichim must fulfill the following requirements to be included in the program:
• Participation in the Consolidated Hebrew High School of Jewish Studies with consistent attendance (75%) for 8th – 10th grades.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
• 11th and 12th graders must attend the Consolidated Hebrew High School's post confirmation program or actively participate in any local Jewish teen group.

MANDATORY ATTENDANCE
Mandatory attendance is required at orientation:
• Madrichim Orientation on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2011 from 7:00-8:30pm in Luski Hall of the Education Building.  No dinner served.
