Q: How do I use the online RSVP service to sign up for upcoming events?
A: The first thing you need to do is create a online account. To do this click on the RSVP icon on the top of the website homepage www.beth-el.com. If you have never created an account, click SIGN IN. This will take you to a page that offers you a choice to CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. (You only have to do this only once.) Once you have created your account, return to the RSVP page where all of Temple Beth El’s events which require RSVP’s are listed and you may make your selection.

Q: How do I have someone’s name included on the Mi Shebeirach (prayer for healing) list or request a hospital visit from the clergy?
A: Call Rabbis’ Assistant Debora Gluick at 704-749-3043 or e-mail her at dgluick@beth-el.com An individual’s name will be kept on the list for 30 days; this time can be extended by contacting Debora. |
Q: My spouse is not Jewish. May our family still join Temple Beth El?
A: Absolutely! Temple Beth El welcomes and supports interfaith couples and their families as they develop their own paths to religious life. Click here for information about Temple Beth El’s Interfaith and Outreach Committee.

Q: What are the different types of worship services at Temple Beth El, and how do I find a service that is appropriate for me and my family?
A: Temple Beth El offers a variety of worship opportunities at different times and in different formats. For more detailed information about our worship services, click here. We invite you to try various services and find the ones that are right for you. For families with children too young to sit through the service, babysitting is available at all Friday night services and on the High Holy Days.

Q: Is there financial assistance available for membership dues, Religious School tuition and Youth activities?
A: Yes. It is the policy of Temple Beth El that no one will be denied membership due to financial need. In addition, scholarships are available to help pay for Religious School tuition and other activities. Q: Will all worship services be held in the Sam Lerner Cultural Center?
A: Shabbat services (including b'nei mitzvah services) will be held in the Sam Lerner Cultural Center. Festival morning services will be held in Luski Hall (in the Bernstein Education Building). High Holiday 2009 services will be held at Forest Hill Church on Park Road (more information to follow). Other life cycle events will be scheduled to meet the individual needs of the family.
