We are not only the largest Jewish congregation in the Carolinas, but also one of the warmest and most dynamic. We represent the best of Reform Judaism: an inclusive, welcoming and caring congregation, exciting programs of Jewish education for all ages, meaningful and spiritually uplifting worship and prayer experiences, opportunities for involvement in every facet of Tzedakah and Social Action, and many social activities for all ages.

A Covenant of Caring is the promise we make when we join the Temple Beth El Community. We promise to care for each other as best as we can and, in return, accept warmth and caring from our fellow congregants.
Our vision is to have a congregation where repairing the world is second nature. Where young and old alike work side by side to assist our neighbors in need. There are many opportunities to participate in monthly programs through various committees and the religious school.
Temple Beth El’s Social Justice/Social Action Committee works year round to aid our fellow citizens in the Jewish community and the greater Charlotte community.  Through our volunteer efforts, we support the fine work of many charitable organizations assisting children, seniors and disadvantaged families throughout the region.

Our Temple Youth Programs, Women of Reform Judaism, Brotherhood, and Senior Social Club offer great opportunities for connecting with others. Our many committees have something for everyone and every interest!
