President:
Preside over all Board meetings
Attend 3 NFTY-SAR regional events
Represent LIBERTY at all Temple Beth El Board meetings and
serve as a member of that Board
Oversee LIBERTY Board and ensure that all members are
performing their jobs as described
Attend all LIBERTY events
Assist with other TBE youth events (i.e. – JYG and 8th
Grade)
Communicate with Rabbi Streiffer and Youth Director
Attend LIBERTY Board meetings.
Programming VP:
Attend as many LIBERTY events as possible and 3 NFTY-SAR
regional events
Fulfill the duties of the President in his/her absence
Oversee all the social programming done by LIBERTY,
including overseeing committees, which enjoin to complete
the tasks
Attend LIBERTY Board meetings.
Social Action VP:
Attend as many LIBERTY programs as possible and 3 NFTY-SAR
regional events
Research and implement consistent educational programming on
pertinent issues for Jewish youth
Research and provide information on social action
opportunities for LIBERTY members, involving the youth group
in such events at least twice a year
Coordinate a tzedakah project which LIBERTY will donate a
portion of its money raised, donating time if needed, and
cultivate a positive relationship with the tzedakah project
Attend LIBERTY Board meetings.
Religious/Cultural VP:
Attend as many LIBERTY events as possible and 3 NFTY-SAR
regional events
Serve as the religious programmer and oversee all
religious/cultural programs for all worship related
activities throughout the year
In the case that LIBERTY participates with or leads a Temple
service, preparing and completing a creative service for the
rabbi’s inspection at least two weeks prior to the service,
and completing all copying and collating one week prior to
the service
Attend LIBERTY Board meetings.
Membership and Communication VP:
Attend as many LIBERTY events as possible and 3 NFTY-SAR
regional events
Prepare flyers/publicity for all events and assist with
mailings
Review calendar of events regularly to ensure that
communication is sent out in a timely manner
Serve as membership coordinator of LIBERTY, with a special
focus on the incoming freshman class. Solicit potential
members through active recruitment and programs directed at
increasing participation and membership. Supervise Grade
Level Reps.
Serve as liaison to the 8th grade class – providing
opportunities for participation in LIBERTY events and
promoting enthusiasm and connectedness to LIBERTY
Attend a few 8th Grade Youth events and Junior Youth Group
events to for recruitment into LIBERTY.
Attend LIBERTY Board meetings.
Grade-Level Representative:
Attend as many LIBERTY events as possible and 3 NFTY-SAR
regional events
Serve as liaison to your class in recruiting participants
for events.
Make phone calls to class members about events.

Think ahead to SUMMER 2008!
There
are over 30 NFTY programs that are available to rising 9th-12th
grade teens (NFTY in Israel, Mitzvah Corp, Meitav, Kutz Camp, EIE
Summer Session and many more). There are also many post-high school
programs for our graduating seniors! Check out
