Chavurah Keshet, You have done it again!
For the third year, Chavurah Keshet has donated a portion of
proceeds from their annual Hamantaschen sale ($1.00 per dozen) to
the Levine-Sklut Judaic Library & Resource Center.
The funds go towards the purchase of special items for the library,
such as children books, fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, CDs,
maps, and teaching aids. On behalf of all those who benefit from
this thoughtful gift, we say Hamon Todah—Thanks a bunch!

Chavurah Keshet serves the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian,
Bisexual and Transgendered) members of Temple Beth El and their
domestic partners and supporters in all aspects of congregational
life through religious, social and educational activities and works
to foster understanding and inclusiveness within the congregation
and the broader Jewish community. Temple
Beth El is an inclusive congregation and as such strives to meet the
spiritual and cultural needs of Gay and Lesbian Jews, many of whom
have felt marginalized by mainstream Jewish life. Through the
activities of Chavurah Keshet, they have come to see Temple Beth El
as their home and their connection to the Jewish community.
This group is a natural extension of the inclusive
policies set forth by the Reform movement and serves as an example
for other communal organizations.
