Sara
Schreibman came to Temple Beth El as Executive Director in 2004.
She and her husband Mike have been members of Temple Beth El for
almost 30 years and raised their two sons, Mark and Philip, in
this community.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from the
University of Georgia and went on to teach in Nebraska and at
the Jewish Day School in Birmingham, AL prior to moving to
Charlotte.
After moving to Charlotte, Sara was the Children’s Programming
staff person at the JCC and became the Program Director there
overseeing adult and senior programming. She moved on to become
the administrator for the Foundation of Shalom Park and was part
of this organization during the inception and building of phase
one of our Shalom Park campus.
Sara joined the Chamber of Commerce staff as Vice President of
the Central Charlotte Association upon leaving the Foundation
and was responsible for marketing and promoting Uptown
Charlotte. Following 4 and ½ exciting years at the Chamber, Sara
joined Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP where she was the law
firm’s Development Director for 14 years just prior to joining
the Temple staff.
As a volunteer in the Charlotte Jewish community, Sara has
served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater
Charlotte where she held positions including President, Campaign
Chair and president of the Women’s Division. She also served on
the board of the Jewish Day School of Charlotte. Sara was born
in Montgomery, AL and is married to Mike. She was named a
Charlotte Jewish Woman of Strength in 2002.
