Let me give you a quick recap of Board activities
Our
main focus has been on proper preparation for the long-term Capital and
Endowment needs of our Temple.
Great progress is being made to insure our long-term viability, and we
will keep you posted as to our progress. We recently authorized
additional staff for our Youth and for Programming, and I’m pleased to
report that due to your continued generosity and our staff’s diligence
on cost controls, we are on target for a balanced budget in Fiscal
05-06.
Please join us for our Education Shabbat, March 17th, where we will
honor the Blumenthal family whose generosity and involvement in our
Education complex at Shalom Park have provided all of us world class
facilities for Jewish education.
Look at the Discovered Traditions gift shop towards the end of March.
Yes, it’s bigger, and Amy Weingarten has designed an awesome interior
that will be a delight for us to enjoy for many years to come. We will
be having a dedication of our new space in memory of Seena and Harry
Binder on Friday evening, May 5, 2006, following Shabbat worship.
In summary, TBE continues to flourish with 70 new families joining in
the last 6 months, non-stop activities to enjoy, and beautiful services
every week. Thanks for making our congregation such a wonderful place.Fred Dumas, President |
