It is no mystery why Judaism has survived and flourished for more than 5,000 years. Our ancestors envisioned and dreamed. From one generation to the next, they nurtured and passed on the cultural bond that connects us all.

Judaism is so much more than a religion; it is a heritage and lifestyle that has persevered through the world’s darkest hours. By participating in temple life today, we honor the commitment and sacrifices of those who came before us while taking on the responsibility to provide for future generations.

Births, b’nei mitzvah, weddings, deaths; Temple Beth El has been the anchor for so many families during their life cycles. In the past decade, the congregation has grown from 725 to more than 1,100 today. Although the roots of our temple run deep and its branches spread wide, we are straining to keep up with the growth. It is more and more difficult to provide adequate space, staff and programming to meet all of the spiritual needs of congregants.

We must rise to meet this challenge for present and future generations, as our forefathers did. The time to give is now, though our temple will transcend many lifetimes.
